Happy Book Publishers Day, Furious Readers!
Every January 16th, we take time within our office to celebrate those who work behind-the-scenes to edit, design, proofread, print, and distribute books. Today we honor and celebrate our amazing Read Furiously team who works tirelessly to bring our authors’ words to our Furious Readers. Thank you for all you do, for your time, your energy, your enthusiasm, and your dedication to our small, but mighty, publishing house.
Every day we try to live by the mission statement and value system that we’ve built: to publish books often overlooked by the larger publishers, to serve our reading communities, and to support our authors. This has always been our dream and every day it’s possible because of our team and the small book publishers and their teams who continue to inspire us.
We believe that books can change the world and, in times like these, we lean on each other to share stories, build empathy, and create community. Reading is an act of resistance and a powerful one. Today we ask that you thank the indie publishers, publishing professionals, indie authors, indie bookstores, librarians, and readers who show up every day to push for change and reading equity.
