Announcement 7 - Welcome to the Sequential Underground

Last fall we launched a subscription box designed to change the reading conversation. Throughout the years, we’ve met many Furious Readers who’ve all made the same admission: they want to read more but didn’t have the time. Those conversations inspired our bestselling One ‘n Done series, pocket-sized books meant to read in a commute or long weekend, giving readers a chance to accomplish their reading goals without the heavy time commitment. 

We took our dedication to helping our readers to another level with our curated monthly subscription box. Inspired by our One ‘n Done series, we focus on pocket-sized or portable books and build a monthly reading experience around it. Portable reading is a hidden literary gem and it does work in reaching your reading goals in any season of life. 

Like everything we do, the Sequential Underground subscription box is a labor of love. We want every monthly box to tell a story around our chosen theme. Every box includes:

• A pocket-sized or portable book that the Sequential Underground team has read and personally loved. These books are smaller than a standard trade paperback and come from a variety of publishers.
• A companion zine to enhance the month’s chosen title. These zines are handmade and created by independent artists - including members of the Sequential Underground team! Ranging from social to personal to cultural to political, we wanted to capture the magic of zines and add another layer to your reading experience.
• A mix of reading tools and accessories created by independent artists and creatives (including the Sequential Underground team!) that run their companies with strong value systems, including giving back to their communities and creating their products through sustainable practices.
• Digital extras, including a monthly Spotify playlist to match the month’s reading journey!

As with every product created through Read Furiously, the Sequential Underground subscription box is dedicated to creating a joyful, sustainable reading experience for our readers through the support of indie artists and creative teams.
