The Indie Bookstores of New Jersey project began in 2025 when authors Bill Hemmig and Margaret Montet spent their summers visiting their favorite bookstores. In keeping with this tradition, Indie Bookstores of New Jersey 2027 wall calendar celebrates the indie spirit, ingenuity, and joy that fills every corner of our next batch of bookstores. 

In a world filled with noise and distractions, community spaces are very precious. Indie Bookstores of New Jersey reminds us that many of these spaces are a short drive away. From meeting with the bookstore owners, chatting with booksellers, and exploring the spaces, each month is a tribute to the hard work and dedication independent bookstores provide on a daily basis. This calendar is a necessary addition to any booklover’s home, as reading inspiration or to plan your next big indie bookstore road trip!
