Furious Readers, 2025 marks a special milestone for us.
Today is the start of our ten year anniversary celebration as a publishing house.
Ten years ago, we were a small, independent publisher preparing for our first title to debut in August. Written by S. Atzeni and Adam Wilson, with art by Alicia Padron, the first volume of The MOTHER Principle became the first step in Read Furiously's journey.
We created Read Furiously as a direct response to the gatekeeping and refusal to acknowledge the hard work and talent of authors who did not fit the standard set by the publishing industry. Our primary goal, then and now, has been to lift up the voices of authors and artists who deserve to have their stories told. Every day, the Read Furiously team works hard to serve as champion to the many talented authors who trust us with their words. It is a privilege to work with them and to continue our mission to lifting up such powerful voices and stories.
In the years since, we've become an award-winning publishing house, we've created two bestselling series in our One 'n Done and NJ anthology, and we've seen our authors reach their own extraordinary milestones. Throughout this year, we plan to take you back to our humble beginnings, to celebrate our authors, and to continue the work we started ten years ago.
To our Furious Readers, past, present, and future, we thank you for taking this sustainable reading journey with us. Without your support, our books would not have a home. To the independent bookstores, event spaces, and organizations that have welcomed us throughout the years, it is a joy to consider you our industry partners. To our wonderfully brilliant authors and artists, it continues to be an honor and privilege to give your books a home with Read Furiously.
