Today we are introducing Urban Folk Tales by Y. Rodriguez, a collection of short stories that blend elements of magical and spiritual realism.
Urban Folk Tales is based on the true life experiences of BIPOC who live in the working poor and working class neighborhoods of Manhattan.

Y. Rodriguez was born in Manhattan to Puerto Rican parents. Y. Rodriguez is a published, produced, and award-winning playwright and director who has had her plays produced in Off-Broadway theater companies throughout Manhattan.Ms. Rodriguez is also a published poet, and a professional musician and songwriter who performs with her band, AYOKA, in venues throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn.
